Just Put A Deposit On A 2015 S GT..Anything to look for?
Hello,
My last car was totaled out by insurance due to the age and cost of repairs, which prompted me to look for another vehicle. I settled on a 6 speed 2015 M3 S GT, because it has a nice family sedan feel while still being manual transmission, which is important to me. That brings me to today, I live in TX and the car is located at a small dealer in California. Considering that I do not live near the vehicle I had thought that it would be wise to get a pre purchase inspection. The person that I have been speaking with said that he can take it to a mechanic for me before I visit, which is great because that means that I don't have to purchase my plane ticket until I see the report. So the M3 is going to be going to the Mazda dealership this Wednesday evening for an inspection, so I should know Thursday afternoon if there is anything wrong with the vehicle. I am expecting a few things on there, just due to the fact that I am not purchasing it new and normal wear and tear items are to be expected. Is there anything else that I might need to check? Things usually overlooked by most people?
The car only has 82k miles and the 1st owner seems to have kept up with oil changes pretty regularly every 8k miles or so. The 2nd owner doesn't appear to have any maintenance history, but I know that CarFax isn't 100% accurate and that some shops don't report or there is a possibility that the 2nd owner did all the work himself.
Thank you for any help!
