Installing interior neon lights.

Installing interior neon lights.
Im interested in installing some red neon lights in my interior although I have not decided where I want to put them yet. Anyone else have them installed and if so where? What kind di you use, etc... Also, how difficult is it to install them so that they will come on with the rest of the lights in the car?

RE: Installing interior neon lights.
I have red L.E.D.'s in my car. Not that hard to do just takes some time & needs to be done correct. I've been around the block when it comes to L.E.D.'s & I have hurt myself a bit & burnt out plenty of fuses. First thing is first I would find out where you want to install them & what power source you are going to use for them. Pull the fuse to that area of the car in order to make sure power is not reaching them (this is where I hurt myself). Obviously connect the positive & negatives to the correct wires. But other than that it's not incredibly hard.

I used the light in the glove box for power. I used just plain wiring tools. You can get pretty much all your wiring needs at Wally World. Easy as crimp the wires together, electrical tape to reinforce the connections. Then install in place.

I used a switch that I bought at a local aftermarket automotive place. Easy as sticking wires together really. The light isn't the easiest to get to. But I found it not too bad compared to what I've done in the past. I ran the whole wiring system through the car for both sides. Just kinda take time to learn things about your vehicle. It'll come to ya sooner or later.

I found where the wires run into the glovebox for the light, but they appear to sort of be in a bundle, which wire would be the one for the glovebox light? Sorry for asking dumb questions, but I want to make sure I do this correctly.
