Hi Mazda folks,

I'm buying a new car early in 2009 and I'm looking at getting the 2009 Mazda 3 GT with luxury package. I like all the options available on the luxury package except that it comes with chrome finished door handles. I'm not a big fan of chrome. Did anyone else get this model and how does the chrome look on your car. I'm wondering whether the dealer would swap out the chrome handles with body colored ones. I know if I just get the GT model without the luxury package then I would get body colored door handles...however, the luxury package does have some very nice features.

And by the way, I live in Ottawa, Ontario Canada so if anyone else here lives in this area I would definitely like your opinions as to what dealership to go to.

well i got the GS (im from guelph ontario WOOHOO another canadian on the site) and mine came with just painted door handles. is yours a station wagon or a sedan :P. and my family lives in gatineau quebec too. however i have no idea where the dealerships are down there. but good luck

 

I'm getting the sedan. I believe this year the 2009 GT with luxury comes with chrome door handles whereas in previous years they came with body colored ones.

 

Must be a Canadian thing, no such animal as a Luxury package here, most of that package is just the GT package in the US

woah. then i dunno. i always thought that the canadian GT was basically the same thing as the US grand touring or w.e. you learn something new every day

 

You have to add the luxury package to get the leather up there, and no chrome door handles on ours [8D]

 

After owning a car that had it, I hate leather interior so it would be nice to have the option here on our GT"s, but I can certainly live w/o chrome door handles.These are just not chrome cars. It looks out of place, imo. I"d reserve that for old American iron and classic Muscle cars.

 

The Seat Warmers are nice though Richard, kept the wife off my back when my Explorer had them LOL
