Don't just use your HID bulbs in the non-xenon projectors. You will blind the upcoming traffic. Plus the cut-off looks cheap. i went with TSX projectors on my 5 and it is a good way to go. Pictures will be posted next week.

Ideally, and from what I know about the subject, you are absolutely correct. But not all of us have the time, knowledge or money to convert to the real deal.I know it can get quite expensive and if you don"t know what you"re doing, can actually cause more glare from a misaligned install.
If the owner/installer is smart, he/she will adjust the conversion kit lights a bit lower because, as you say, the cut-off point is modified and not as accurate as with projectors designed for HID"s.
That said, I look forward to seeing you pics!! Bet they are nice.

Here a few photos for the TSX retrofit with 6000K D2S bulbs and 35W after market ballasts. Along the way, I also had white LED strips around the low beam side.

Canessa those LEDs are very nice.... How much and how difficult to install? Did you have to take apart the light?

I remember reading about cutting some wires under the passenger side to make the Fog lights work only with parking lights. Has anyone had any success? I want to drive with fog lights only during the day time.
