Default help please

hello everyone. i got a 2004 Mazda 3s 2.3 stick, here is my problem my speedometer its not working and the check engine light is on when i check the scanner shows bad speed sensor i got a new one from Mazda and still having the same problem, i had check everything ask a few mechanics and nobody has any idea, so if anyone had this problem or know what it is can please help out.

Did you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery followed by a depression of the brake pedal BEFORE you changed the sensor?
It may make a difference. I like to do that when any work is done on car.
Re-attach and let idle for 10 minutes before driving.

If you have no signal at the sensor then it could be a problem with the gear/ring or whatever drives it wherever the sensor is installed, where is the sensor installed? Does a scan tool show any speed when you look at the live data as you drive? If you have speed there then its your speedometer and not the sensor.

the sensor is on top of the transmission and the speedometer its not working

Did you verify that with a scan tool that can see live data? This is the only easy way to determine if your speedometer died or if there is something wrong in the transmission or wiring harness.

i check the sensor and the wires and they are working fine, do you think that i could be the cluster?
