im just a big fan. ha. dont get me wrong...i love other cars, too. especially my MAZDA. but, there are so many neat things in the automotive world, it does no good to be biased...so im open to anything.

also, if its a short ram, shouldn't it NOT be getting hot? if anything it would the long piped CAIs since its more piping.. im jsut assuming.. i dont kno if im making any senseee
short ram intakes ingest the air that lingers around the engine bay...which is HOT air. cold air intakes are routed to an area in which the air temperature is much cooler. cold air is more efficient than hot air.

nickvw: from what i can see in that picture, it looks like everything has been installed properly. i would look into applying a heat shield to your SRI. the heat wrap will help mostly with keeping other things in your engine compartment from being effected from the heat, such as from a header. so, IMO, the heat shield would be your best bet. good luck.

i hear you lol. but when i posted the topic of if you didnt have your 3. you were going to buya VW lol. but then again after what i heard. i wanted to buy that car. its so mint and in like 10 years from then (providing you dont drive it in winter) it could be worth alot of money

yup it was me that "backyard" fitted it. and yes its from ebay. n yes i paid 74 dollars for it. works perfect

thx ill try the heat shield
