Default RE: header???

ive no header installed on my 3s due to emissions issues. but here is a list of vendors offering headers for the 3.

heres a list of the headers available for the mazda3 thus far...

-DRAXAS HEADER
-VIBRANT HEADERS
-THUNDER HEADERS--there was a group buy for these on the protege forums...im sure they will have another really soon.

here is another thread on this forum where headers were discussed. the companies listed above are links which are enabled in the thread below.

I've personally seen the Thunder Headers. They are quality. Good welds. They're actually my next purchase.

Kargoboy over on Mazda3Club.com sells them. I would definitely check him out.

hey westimports: i dont recall buying any intakes from you before...i have an aem cai, it was my first mod in november of 2004.

but i have a question about those headers...does it help low end power at all...because thats a problem ive been having to deal with while autocrossing. when coming out of sharp turns my engine will be bogged down and have no power around 3000rpm and i really dont like downshifting into first gear....im looking to power up the low and mid-end of my 2.3l.

I coulda sworn you were in my first Simota Group Buy...guess not...musta just seen you around the forums. I checked out your cardomain page after I posted and saw that you have the AEM.

As for the header, it's not going to give you the low-end torque you're looking for but it WILL open up the breathing tremendously.
Do you have the stock exhaust still? Once you do the I/H/E that will help a lot.
Unfortunately, bolt-ons do wonders for the upper RPM but it's tough to add to the low end.
