i am trying to figure out how to get a rear wiper on my car, for some reason the "normal" wipers at autozone and places like that don't have a wiper that fits correctly. this is probley one of mazda's way of getting my money, guess i will complain to the dealer so they can give me a $20 wiper...that normally should be $5

 

Do you mean the arm is proprietary?

 

im just wanting the wiper part not the arm

 

Have'nt paid much attention to it i see it seems there is a cover os somthing but like i said not sure. And yea you're right prolly another way to get you to service at a dealer. Such as a HID's

 

i even had them try to fit the wiper to the arm and they couldn't and even when it was on it wouldn't flex at all so it wouldn't wipe so i guess were suppose to buy the rear wipers from our dealer or something

 

you have to get the replacement rear wiper from mazda...i browsed quite a few auto parts stores, with fittings, with no success finding the proper size.

 

do i dare ask what they are selling them for?

 

i got the wiper from the mazda dealer, all i have to say is wow. $23 for A wiper thats b.s.

 

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm sure this topic comes up every spring. The rear blades still are not stocked in stores (at least in my rural area). wipers123 has them and they also have installation videos. The install is odd because you have to apply a fair amount of force. Once you see it, it makes more sense and makes it easier. Get the right wiper then watch the video and you'll be good-to-go.

 

There are a few rear wiper blades for Mazdas on eBay, ranging from about $12-$24. From eBay Motors type in: "rear wiper" +Mazda
