Default Gas Fumes-2010 Grand Touring

My wife just purchase a brand new Mazda 3 Grand Touring about a month ago nd has been very pleased with the car. Unfortunately in the last couple of weeks we've picked up on the smell of gas coming from the rear of the car. No leaks or spots on the ground but it's definitley coming form sometwhere. Have checked near the gas cap but doesn't seem to be coming from there. Ive heard that the fuel sending unit (?)that sits on top of the tankwill sometimes leak but other than that not sure. It's in the dealers shop but the response we've gotten at this point is that they cannot find anything. Normally I'd sit it out and wait a bit but with gas and fumes I don't like taking chances. I was the first to smell it about a week ogo then my wife just yesterday so it's not our imagination. Anyone else had similar issues? If so, any recommendations or advice?

Many thanks,

When you fill the car up with fuel, are you removing the filler nozzel after it automatically shuts off the first time, or are you "milking" it to get every last drop possible down the filler neck?
