Fuel Induction Service
My Mazda dealer recommended a Fuel Induction Service for my 2024 Mazda3 at 27,000 miles (intake valve cleaning only). Cost $188.00. I have read about the carbon buildup on intake valves. One owner recommended STP 19127 valve cleaner ($40.00 at Advance Auto Parts) as it is very easy to use. With my car still under warranty, is the STP product recommended and as good as the Fuel Induction Service the dealer recommends? Thanks for your help.
At those miles I am not sure why you were recommended the service.
"JUST SAY NO" to service recommendation not supported by indication verified needing. In this case did you get a free intake and combustion chamber scoping and picture and or video? My guess NOPE!. .
I might add you have a DI engine so there is no gas additives that will prevent some types of carbon build up. But aging nothing you should have to even consider thinking about until you get close to the magical 100K miles and close to your warranty expiring.
