you could advance your ignition timing and/or strip your interior (remove seats, glovebox, audio/climate controls, etc.).

dont do it all at once! its nice to go one step at a time so you can individually appreciate each modification you make in ragards to performance. just my opinion...

Yeah, don't strip out the car, but you COUULDDD remove the side molding. That weight saving alone might be good for .02 usable hp. Maybe more!!?
I hear racing decals add power too... some say up to 20 just with one decal, depending on the one you choose of course.

All right, so I'm being silly. Short of weight savings, the timing mod and my own Poor Man's SRI, which if you're already doing a CAI anyway you won't beneeding, there seems to be very little we can do to these cars w/o spending some, or a lot of $$$.

Sad. And to think that I built upmy ole' Civic from the junkyard, my tools and my knowledge of the way cars work (worked)... W/a few notable excepions, I spent very little on that car and had a blast with it for years!!

I suppose you could put in a straight (race/test) pipe where the cat and resonator are? Watch out for the law, or inspection on that one though.
