Default Fog Light Assembly

If anyone's fog light glass cracked on a hatchback mazda 3, I have a good solution. The dealer wants $234 for the new assembly and an hour of labor $145 to install it. Directauto.com sells an aftermarket assembly for $105. I installed it myself and it was easy. You just remove the engine cover and three screws from the plastic covering the wheel well. Then you can pull back the wheel well plastic and get to the fog light. The fog light assembly is held in by three phillips screws and some plastic retaining clips. After you remove the screws you just push back the clips and pop the assembly out. Installation is the reverse of removal. It took me about an hour, and I wasn't working too fast. The aftermarket light fit perfect and works great. Big money saver!!

Great!
Now put some www.lamin-x.com on them to keep them looking good and protect them from rock/stone chips.
In fact you can do all four lights for a little more than half what you paid for that one fog light assem.
Cheap insurance, imo.

Thanks for the tip. That looks like a good idea.
