Hey guys, I have an '06 MZ3 hatchback and I recently bought MS3 exhaust for it including the cat. When I got my car up on the lift and I was eyeballing where the parts were going to go, the exhaust for the MS3 does not seems like it is going to fit my car. The cat for the speed looks longer and when I put the exhaust up against the pipes that were on my car, if I were to connect the piping to the original cat, the bends don't seems as though they will fit. Basically, has anyone done this and had similar problems or actually completed it. I have heard of peopel doing this swap but I don't want to have to take off the cat to put on what is supposed to be a cat back system. Can anyone crack an egg of knowledge for me?

 

I had a Mazdaspeed exhaust on my 3i sedan, but you need the Mazdaspeed exhaust meant for the 2.0 or 2.3L naturally aspirated engine, not the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust. I would think they are significantly different as the flow rate for a 150-160 hp engine is very different from one with forced induction pushing close to 270 hp.

The MS accessory exhaust is not to be confused w/the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust. Two different animals and it sounds like you got the wrong one.
