Not sure, but mine was as basic as you could get....The only options were AC and 15" alloy wheels. (which I replaced with 17's)

Going back to your first question, I like the HKS Hi Power exhaust catback better, then both. But if you where thinking between those two, i would go with magnaflow, it has a better sound to it then vibrant.

I put a magnaflow on my 3GT and love it. It's not too loud but sounds sporty when you wind it up. Didn't notice a big power difference but fit was perfect and the exhaust tip fits the standard cutout like it was born there.

sry for bringing this back up, i searched but did not find the answer to my question.

the HKS Hi-Power exhaust is shown as for 04-05 mazda 3 models. does that mean it absolutely will not fit on the 06 models? i know usually you go by what the company specifies, but i was not aware of any changes to the 06 model. i would assume the Hi-Power would fit the 06 models, but that is why i am asking.

oh yea and also, reading the installation instructions for the magnaflow, its says you have to cut the piping 3.5" after the 2nd cat for the 2.3L. i thought it would be a straight bolt-on? is the HKS Hi-Power the same? or is it a straight bolt-on? if not, than which exhaust system on the market is? i looked around, there isnt much selection as i thought there would be for the 3.

why not just take your car to a custom exhaust shop and have them put the magnaflow on. this would be my choice for muffler. the reason they dont have the 06 listed for a fit is probably b/c they haven't installed there system on an 06 yet, seems odd that they haven't gotten around to it but if they arrant selling a lot of these models it wouldn't surprise me.
