its about a matter of taste, for sure a deep exhaust note is borla, next up is vibrant, then magnaflow

Ive heard a lot of talk about the super 44 from flowmaster as well as the 60 series, either worth the time or effort?

Your post says 3i, but your garage says Mazdaspeed3???

Most anything you put on the Mazda will give you a throaty sound, because that's the nature of the beast... a bottom end, torquey engine. That said, I have the Vibe which is not terribly loud, just enough to get someone's attention and hear it for shifts. Of course my wife, mother in law and mother think it's TERRIBLY LOUD!!!
The Borla or ARK would have been my next choice, but they clamp together, do not come w/a high flow cat and are said to be even milder sounding (Borla: what I have heard, not experienced. I have experienced the ARK and liked it, but quality issues, etc....)
For what it's worth, check this out... https://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/intake-headers-exhaust-38/review-vibrant-exhaust-10374/
