Does anyone know where I could find the factory alarm control module on the mazda 3?

the large dashboard support bracket to the left of the steering column. check there, this is where the mazda remote start instruction manual says to put the remote start module.

i do. but have no way of copying it from home. if you have a specific question i'll look it up and respond. that's the best i can do. hope that helps.

did you install the remote start yourself? if so, how hard was it and what model of mazda 3 do you have?

its a 3s and no i haven't installed it yet. i didn't expect to have to splice into the wiring. its a mazda product and i assumed it was a matter of hooking vehicle harnesses to remote harnesses. the kit provides idc taps which i will not use because they are junk (they make for poor electrical connections). i'll just have to pick myself up a soldering iron at some point. i got to thinking that if i have to splice the wiring i should just go out and get a better remote start system. and thats why i haven't gone any further with the install.
