Ok so I've been reading through all these walkthroughs on how to set up the DIS on the Mazda3. And I've followed them all to the T.

And they don't work for me.

Few questions,

Does it work on the 2008 Mazda3i Touring?

Is the SET button the Cruise Control button on the steering wheel? Or does everyone else have a button I don't know about

Any help would be appreciated as this is a really cool feature to me, cause unfortunately I'm a nerd and care about my mpg and average speed.

 

Activating the DIS is uses only the buttons on the HU, nothing on the steering wheel. From my understanding there was some change in '08 models and the DIS can only be activated on the 6CD HU's. Don't take my word for that though as I haven't had a chance to play with a '08 one.

 

I do have the 6CD changer in my 3, so I'm not sure, all I know is that there is no SET button on the radio.

Unless SET stands for something?

won't work for the i models with out 6 disc cd changer. I tried this out when i first got my car. You won't accomplish it and if you don't have a set button then its the button with the 2 dots on it. IMO get a scangauge when you have the money to.

I have the 6 disc in my S and there is not 'Set' or '..' button.

 

there should be a info button right beside the clock button on the stereo. that is what you should be using to monitor that.

 

Info? You mean the :00?

When I do the steps, and then press the :00 i.e. SET nothing happens.
