Default RE: Dam SRS (seat covers)

The side airbagsdeploy fromoutside side of each of the front seats (upper part of the seat).

The pics on the website below show a design that accomodates them, pay attention to the middle pic on the left, note the portion of the seat that is uncovered.

Personally, Iwould like to get a cover that does not cover the headrest. Even better would be a cover set that just covers the "seat part" of the front seats - something cloth but non furry, furry just seems too 1970. The "seat part" that'swhere dirt, crumbs, beverage splashes, etc, end up. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated.

That's not correct. In your picture the driver's side curtain and side airbags are not deployed, however you can see the passenger side side airbag. They come out of the outside-side of the front seats towards the top. Go look at your car and you'll see the SRS logo tag along the outside seam.

they deploy from the side like virgin said. I looked on other forums. I'm still getting my seat covers though. I found a solution to it. Instead of getting those sides stitched i'll be having velcro on them.

Velcro? For safety reasons, you want the bags to have a CLEAR DEPLOYMENT PATH. In a crisis (serious crash), you don't want anything to be in their way.

so should i just go ahead and get them stitched?...to be honest with you i can care less about the SRS. My other cars didn't have it neither did i ever crash a car before. I have spun out on the highway but kept control of the car.....but on the other hand even if i know how to drive other people may not....dam.
