Default CX5 Drive

Drove the new CX5 tonight. It has the same engine and transmission as the 3. I thought it was really nice. It is a bit tough to see out of the back but it has blind spot sensors. It is definitely not as peppy as my 3 though. Not sure if that's from the added weight being an SUV or just the way the new drivetrain is. I was told the transmission will learn how you drive and adjust its shift points over the first 4k miles.

Engine is slightly different, higher compression and a bit more power.

CX-5 weights significantly more than 3, so it's going to feel slower.

Can't wait the next Gen of 3.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the 3 do the same thing with the transmission shift points?

That was the way that my 08s read when I bought it, and if I disconnect the battery for more than a couple of minutes I do notice a difference in shift pattern when ran in D.
