Common problem or am I just unlucky?
My wife and I bought a 2008 Mazda3 I Touring Value back in March. A couple weeks ago we noticed that the drivers side fog light was hit by a rock or something and the it had a hole in the glass. While waiting for the dealership to get the parts in that they ordered to fix it, my wife was cleaning the car and noticed that the passenger side fog light has a crack in it.
Is this a common problem, or am I just having some bad luck with this?

I have an 04 with the round fogs and have had them completely apart. If the glass lens in the later ones is as thick as mine are, I don't know how it could be broken... unless some crazy lady smashed it with a sledge hammer. (<<< For you Cast_OnE.)
So the general consensus is that I just had a run of bad luck in rocks or whatever hitting the right spots of the fog lamp and cracking or breaking them.

I dont know why on earth they are glass to begin with. Its just asking to be broken. There is some sort of 3M film you can get put on them to prevent them from breaking.
