Default Clutch

I noticed that i don't have to press my clutch in all the way any more or as much as i used to. It feels that i only need to push it a quarter of the way and it engages but it feels that its taking less and less effort to engage it....is it going out at only 5000 miles?

That certainly doesn't sound too good.

i have noticed that the brand new 3's have a different feel than my 1st oil change+ cars. it should be about 1/2 way down or so. it can vary a lil bit & is ok, but if it keeps working its way to the top of the pedal travel you probably have a problem. if you are questioning it try to take it in before 12k.

well i don't have warranty any more ...i did a lot of things to the car they will laugh if i walk in and just ask about warranty. I just moved up to 10w 30 full synthetic ..could that be why...i doubt it but im just trying to find why. You can say that it moved up the travel pedal a lot, before it was half way where it would engage now its only quarter of the way and feels a lot softer

I'd say that if you have that much take-up after only 5k miles, then youeither have a defective clutch (not likely,) or you are doing something wrong.
W/nearly 40k miles on mine the take-up is still less than half the pedal travel, and I ain't too easy on it either.
