Default clunk when i go over bump...HELP!!!

I have recently noticed that whenever I go over a bump or when the front extension as to absorb some shock there is a thunk or thud that i notice. I can feel it in the car as well as hear it. sounds like somethin is hitting or something like that. I looked under the car and couldn't find the problem. any ideas from anybody? anything i can do or check before i have to take it in and pay for it to get checked at?

It's one in the same and the ole' bumper/bounce test will tell you if the strut is history... but I doubt that is your problem.
Look for loose (or broken if it's severe) sway bar links, bad strut tower bearings, etc.
Have you lowered it (installed lowering springs) or done any other modifications to the suspension?

And now many miles have you racked up? It could be a broken motor mount too?

It could be a loose bolt in your suspension. See the below thread. If you are due or close to due for a 30K check, I would take it in, andask thatthey pay particular attention to your suspension bolts.

do you feel the 'thump' in the footwells in the front seats?

i had a thump noise about a year ago when going over bumps that i could feel with my feet. the front sway bar was loose.

Have the dealer check your sway bar bushings, they might need to be replaced or tightened
