Default Changing HID bulbs

i have an aftermarket kit installed in my car. i'm not happy with my 8000k honestly. my question is if i jsut purchase the 4300k bulbs (not the whole HID kit), would it work with the harness and ballasts that i already have?

They'd have to be for an H7 conversion kit so they'd fit the socket.

Suggestion: Try the 5K's. They are the diamnod white bulbs and should offer you just as much output as the 43K's with a little more bluish/white light.

u mean that it just has to be an H7 type bulb? doesnt matter wat brand it is or nething right? the wiring and everything would be the same? as for the 5k's ill take your word for it. i want something that has maximum light output.

Yes. As I understand it, and as would make sense, the ballast supplies the voltage/wattage required. So just like the standard 12v battery supplies a halogen, or tungstenbulb with what it needs to work, any 35 or 50~55 watt HID ballast should provide what a bulb of that equivalent should need to work properly.
That said, if you have ballast's that are designed to support a 35w HID envelope and you replace the bulb with another 35w envelope, I see no reason that theywould not compatible.
The difference in light output, or lumen's, will be in the kelvin related color that bulb produces.

Oh, and by extension, you should be able to use a bulb of lower rated wattagew/a ballast that's designed to provide a greater current output. You can downgrade using a 50w ballastand a 35w bulb, but don't try putting 50w HID bulb's together w/your 35w rated ballasts.
Got it?

The stock ones and most AM kits are 35's, but there are a few that offer 50~55watt kits.I know Apexcone is one that does offer the bigger kit.
What do you have?
