i have a ms3 with cloth interior, no scotchguard here and no problems... i dont really like the way it feels after personally... and blue coral should work on most everything something were to happen... only thing you might consider scotchguarding are the side of the doors where you rest your arm... at least on mine, my elbow rubs on it a lot!

I don't know, my cloth interior on my 04 is pretty much tore to hell which kinda pisses me off since it's only 5 years old...My driver seat cloth is fraying pretty bad, previous owner seemed to put a permanent crease on the left side of the driver seat the black "bucket" part. All 4 doors where the cloth is between the arm rest/handle to the vinyl up to the window became unglued and is is pulling out from the vinyl. Dash/decorative trim/radio/ac control/shifter/cup holder seems to scratch way easy, Something simple as coins falling have scratched mine and wont buff out.
