Hey James. Sorry to hear what happened.
You could have went thru your insurance. Long as you filed a police report. There would have been no claims and probably no deductable. Would have fell under your uninsured other motorist part of your insurance, I think. Long as you filed a police report. Next time. Happend to me once or twice. Two accidents and I was not at fault. One was a hit and run, the other was at a gas station after filling up. Was not even in the car. That one hurt cause the car never felt the same again. Had to rid myself of it.
May I ask where you hit the black ice. Hwy 7? Damn rentals. Glad I have my Blizzaks.
Take care.
P.S.
Easy on Richard. He's not out to get you. You guys go a ways back on this forum.

Exactly....I will soon have responsibility for the seats going into both of those plants.
I also launched the 1999 Windstar in that facility back in 97/98. I spent a ton of time in Oakville at the Ramada Inn across thehighway (with Coaches in the basement - Sports bar) There's also a wicked Middle Eastern food place called the Montfort (I believe that's the name, it's been awhile) right next to the hotel.

hmmm till some idiot decided it would be a good idea to make the freestar. otherwise the windstar would still be going strong right now. they also have a new lincoln there. its like a crossover vehicle.
Not really.....the minivan market as a whole had been on a steady decline as an overall % market. It was an increasingly small pie we were getting a piece of. I think it was a good decision to get out of that market.
The Edge/MKX & Flex are much better products and the sales indicate that. I for one would never own a minivan, Id definitely own a Flex or Edge if I was in the market for a new vehicle right now.

Go take a look at the Flex and tell me if you still think a minivan is necessary.
7 passenger fold-flat seating (2nd and 3rd row & front passenger seat) allows you to load long items (think 8 foot long 2x4's etc.) It has all of the functionality of a minivan without the soccer-mom look.

So, based upon the limited data I've been able to come up with in short order, it is not able to accomodate 4x8 sheets of plywood and/or drywall (something that I have done with some regularity in our minivans), it does not have fold-flat seating (something that is real convenient when hauling stuff), its fuel economy (even in FWD form) is still a tad lower than most of the current crop of minivans, and option for option, it costsrather more than all but the most tarted up minivans.
Sorry, I do not see the point.
