Former service writer here. Brake pads have a HUGE markup. You likely did only pay for the front pads. If you got one box, it's not for front and rear, they would be packaged seperately. I strongly suggest changing the rotors at the same time. Few people actually turn them anymore, as they are pretty inexpensive, and relatively thin.

Yeah, pad cost have gotten ridiculous lately!!! I remember them being $10/axle set!!
You may be right about the rotors. $35-$50 ea. $75/ea for the 2.0 fronts, $50 for the 2.3L fronts? Still +/-$200/set of 4.
