Question After market stereo..

Hello!! I was wondering if there's a way to reconnect my steering wheel controls to an aftermarket system? And if so how?

Some aftermarket stereos in some markets do. You would need to research various stereo companies.

First, your aftermarket unit needs to be compatible with steering wheel controls. Then you will need an adapter similar to this one:

Axxess ASWC-1 (ASWC1) Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface

Make sure you select one designed for your particular stereo and vehicle. I picked this one just as an example. Sonic Electronix has good help tools on their website and they are very helpful if you call.

A member here, Marno, turned me on to a company that appears to sell a couple of very nice in-dash units that work with the steering wheel controls. Check out this link:

8 inch in Car GPS Navigation Stereo Replacement for 2010 2011 Mazda 3 with 3D Map CD DVD Player Bluetooth Music MP3 TV Tuner 3G WiFi AUX 1080P DVR POP HD Video

This looks to be very nice for less than $400...
