OK - this might seem like a stupid question - but I have to ask...


The car was listed as having four speakers. The manual makes no mention of six speakers.
When I search different websites (like Crutchfield) for parts, I am asked if it has four or six speakers.
Besides the speaker in each door, I noticed two tweeters behind the side mirror mounts (I pulled the panel off to verify).

(Here's the stupid question) - Does this qualify as 6 speakers? Or is there some other trim package with two additional 'normal' size speakers?

I just want to be certain before I order any stereo components...

 

I'd take it as a six speaker system. If I was going to order stereo parts, I call Mazda to verify. Usually the reason for that is something to do with the amp or preamp.

 

The added tweeters are the 5th and 6th speakers.
The base 3i only came with door speakers.
