I just got a new 2021 Mazda3 hatchback w/AWD . Drove home late at night and discovered the high beams only illuminate a very small area. I brought it to the dealership and they said the lights are intentionally positioned low by Mazda, to protect oncoming drivers from glare. Adjusted them to point a bit higher but it's still incredibly dark, hazardous driving. Dealer says "we never heard of this problem before". No fixes for this - can't add a foglight kit, can't change the bulbs to something more intense, can't add any other light to this model. I've had it a week and feel unsafe at night - never experienced this in any other vehicle, sedan or otherwise. Anyone deal with this before? Advice very appreciated.
