I am in the market for the new 2019 Mazda 3 - one of the things I was excited for was parking sensors and a 360 camera for parking visibility that I read about from some of the advance reviews: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2019/01...r-under-30000/
When I test drove the car yesterday, this wasn't part of the car. In fact, the only parking "technology" was a pretty low-res backup camera that took up about 1/4 of the new screen.
I test drove the premium version of the car - the salesperson told me that it had parking sensors, but during the test drive it became clear that there is no such feature on the car. I'm just confused because the advance press indicated it was a feature.
I just purchased a 2019 Mazda 3 Hatchback Premium 4 days ago. It too does not have any parking sensors or 360 view at all. Yet I was told it did and that you turn it on in the settings of the vehicle. Not the case. From what I have found, there would be two buttons to watch for if you are looking for this option - "View" and "Park" which will be located down and to the left of the steering wheel. My bad for not looking prior to purchase. But I still love the car so far (only 26 miles yet).
This is odd. I thought the US version had this but the Canadian version did not. But you guys are all in the USA. In fact, if you go to the Mazda web site, there is no mention of the 360 camera at all!
True dougal. I watched every possible video online about this car before I purchased as well and not one had shown the 360 cameras. So, unless they are going to release it later in the year along with the Skyactiv-X - we probably will not see this on the 3 in the USA.
I just took delivery of a 2019 Mazda3 Sport GT AWD in Canada, which is as fully loaded as you can get the new Mazda3. I also found there were several features documented in the owner's manual that aren't available on the car, presumably because Mazda Canada decided not to make them available here. The 360 degree camera and front parking sensors both fall into that category. However, the vehicle does have rear parking sensors and a rear view backup camera.
The all new Mazda 3 has just been released in my market. All specs have rear parking sensors from factory, front park sensors & 360` camera is part of a $1500 safety package upgrade.
