Default 2014/15 Mazda 3 dashboard reflection on windshield.

Hi All,

I am a recent owner of 2015 Mazda 3. It has all the thing i need, however, the visibility bugs me some. Please let me know if you have the similar situation. If you do, have you solved the problem and how?

Driving under sun( I live in Texas, bright sun light), the entire dashboard reflects on the windshield. Very distracting.

Peeps say UV film will reduce the glare. Is that true?

Thank you!!!

Default Dashboard reflection

Yes, totally agree. Got my new Mazda3 a month ago and I love the car. However, the dashboard was designed in such a way as to create a lot of reflection on the windshield, and it's really distracting. (I live in Maryland.)

Never thought to focus on that while test driving the car ....

I wonder if anyone else on the forum has any thoughts on this, and/or ideas about possible solutions?

Default Mazda 2016 widshield visibility

I have the same exact problem with my Mazda3 2016 - very distracting reflections on windshield, both during the day (in direct sun and on overcast days) and at night when driving under streetlamps.

Didn't notice this at all in the Mazda3 2013 that I just turned in or during the test drive ... but on driving out of the showroom when I picked it up, there it was, loud and clear. Was hoping I'd get used to it, but I'm noticing it more and more with each passing day.

Do the dash mats really diminish the problem? If so, are they available specifically for the Mazda3 2016? (The dash is considerable different that my previous 2013. Not sure how it compares to the 2015.

I have found the same annoyance and during daylight hours driving (if I remember to bring them) I use polaroid sunglasses - I find they remove the reflection from the inside of the windscreen but adds a very nice pattern on the rear screen. I hope this helps.

My '05 five hundred light interior did this crap..i hated it. It also impacted the video quality of my dashcams. The mazda3 black interior was one of my biggest draws.

Polarized sunglasses help a lot. Dash mats are an alternative I only looked at briefly.

Neither my wife (5' 4") nor I (5' 9") have this problem. Have you tried changing the height of your seat? We have ours adjusted quite high such that I have to duck my head to the side to get in.

I'm 5'8" and kinda-sorta noticed the issue when I looked for it but it didn't present itself as an issue. I took our new Mazda3 on its first road trip this weekend and had lots of different lighting scenarios to observe.
