Man oh man. I haven't been here in a while and I just read this thread from start to finish. It was like reading a thriller novel. I really wanna know the resolution to this problem.

I'm really sorry to hear about your problem in your new 3. I had a bunch of problems when I first got my 2010 M3 GT sedan, some of which are still being resolved. Mine were all squeaks, clicks, and rattles though.

You did the right thing by not signing that waiver. That's BS. I can almost guarantee that this dealer received a defective batch of M3s. I bounce around a lot of the forums for M3s, and this is the first time I've heard about this problem. It's good that you're pursuing legal action. You deserve to have this fixed. Good luck and keep us all posted.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's been a miserable 2 1/2 months with this car. I agree with your assessment that my dealer has a bad batch of 3s. There's no other explanation as to why they'd have so many that have the same problem as mine while no one else seems to be having the problem (with the exception of a guy in Canada who's problems with his car practically mirror my own). I will keep you guys posted, but it'll be slow going from here (as is typical with legal matters).

Man, I'm sorry it came to that. I hope that something gets worked out. Were you ever able to do a covert test drive of a similar car at another dealer to see if it behaved like yours?
