Default 2009 Mazda 3 (axela) 4door pic mmmmmm

Correct me if i'm mistaken... but mazda's japanese site now shows the new 2009 Axela (mazda3) for configuration. I really hope that most of the features end up in the US version! The option to have turn blinkers built into the side mirrors would be sweet if it makes it to the US version! I attached a jpg of the one that i configured, CWP color is the best imo

That looks like the current model, not the redesign. FYI, you can get replacement covers that have the turn signals in them.

ICS, please elaborate on how to get replacement covers. I am tempting to get mirrors with defog and turn signal (the kind that the turn signal can be seen from front and rear). Thanks. (BTW, is the wiring for the turn signle pre-wired? I know the wire for heating elements is pre-wired from other sites/threads). thanks again.

Nabobery sells lots of mirror related stuff on ebay including: wide angle mirror glass, wide angle heated glass, replacement covers with turn signals in them, full replacements with wide angle glass/turn signal/puddle lamp, full replacements with wide angle glass/turn signal (cover)/turn signal in the glass/heated glass.

The covers by themselves go for about $95 and the signal extends just beyond the side so it can be seen from the rear. You can get heated glass for about $80. As far as turn signal wiring you'd have to run wiring down to the existing turn signals and tap it there. Some of his full replacement mirrors have several of the seperate options bundled together, but can still be a little pricey. I just installed heated glass in mine as well as a few LEDs to be puddle lamps in the bottom.

I have a set of those cover and they look like crap close up. I'm planning a move to try and remove the LED lenses w/LEDsintact and attach them to the OE mirrors directly. The cover make them look like Mikey Mouse ears from the front and like a sloppy fit @ the mirror itself. In short, they look like an add-on and I will not go with that look. BTW: This is the first anyone besides me has known this. It's a scoop!!!
The ones I bought were around $45/set in color.

And I agree... this picture doesn't look any different than the '07-'08 models except for those mirrors. And the side marker/turn signal repeaters are still there. [:@] Seems kinda' pointless if they're going to put them on the side mirrors too?
2007 was a minor face-lift year for the 3, one that I am not all too crazy about in the first place (no offence '07-'08 owners,) is 2009 going to be even less so?

I like my rear bumper notch, my rims are cool, as well asmy interior black cloth, which Ifeel is better lookin' than what was available in previous model years. But overall, yeah, I would agree 07 was a minor face lift year (refinement) as far as externals are concerned. I wouldn'tguess Mazda will do much with the 3, until the totally new 3 shows up, whenever that is within the next year or two.

^^ +1. I actually do like the rims you have urbanman, I just don't really like the 17" snowflakes. Actually I saw a picture where someone had painted them graphite and they looked much better.
