Default 2007 Mazda 3 Sport GT question about the CD player

Hi,
I thinking about buying a 2007 Mazda 3 Sport GT. i am getting mixed info about the standard CD player the car comes with.
The dealer is telling me it is a MP3 player but some of my friends are telling me it is not.
On the Mazda web site it does not say MP3 capable.
I figured all 2007 car should come standard MP3 player especially at this price range.

Please HELP.
Thanks![/b]

zoomcool80, assuming you're in the US then you are correct and your dealer is wrong. NO 3's sold in the US regardless of trim come with the Mp3 player. They are however available as a dealer accessory for somewhere upwards of $450 for the 6CD/Mp3 changer. I'd say if you really want one then either negotiate it into the price of your car so you can finance the cost of the player (that much shouldn't alter your payment a significant amount), or get the dealer to give you one for free when it shows up and doesn't have a Mp3 deck after they swore to you it did. If you go that way then make sure that you have it in writing from them that the car should be coming with a Mp3 CD player.

I have also heard that you can either have a SAT Radio OR Aux input hooked up but not both. My wife uses the AUX to input her IPod and loves it.

That's both true and false at the same time. The ACI (Auxiliary Console Input) uses the same port on the HU as the sirius/phatbox/ipod adapter, so it's true that both can't be plugged in physically to the same plug at the same time. That being said Mazda released a switchbox for about $113 that allows you to plug in both the ACI, and one of the other audio options. Note: one of the plugs will only work with the ACI, so you can't have both sirius and a phatbox plugged in at the same time.
