Hello, i just brought a 2004 mazda 3 about a month ago, and notice it was leaking from the driver side alxe from the tranny. when i took it to get the oil change ,the shop told me it was the axle seal leaking "Quoted me $225 to fix it. Today i took it to another shop to get a Sec Quote , the mehn put it on the lift and took a look. He could move the alxe up and down a little bit. He said mazda's have a bad problem leaking from the drive side alxe seal, he said i need to take it to a tranny shop and have the tranny rebuilt. WOW there is no problem with the tranny... Does anybody know what i could do. The car drivers great Like New and it a small leak about a penny size on the driveway a day. Please Help!

 

Maybe take it to a reputable shop and get a third opinion. Sounds like way to much difference between those two quotes.
