Default 2004 1.6 petrol - where is my clutch cable?

Can anyone help me out with some photos?

My clutch is squeaking when I press it and the noise comes from the clutch and not the pedal.

I would like to lubricate the cable joints to see if it comes from there but I cant seem to find it.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure my 2009 Mazda3 (same generation as yours) had a hydraulic clutch; no clutch cable to be had anywhere.

Thats tricky.

How then should I quiet down the squeakyness?

I know one mechanic once did it for me but I dont know how and I lost the contact.

Your first task is to figure out what is squeaking. I'm thinking if you get the car up on ramps, crawl underneath and use a Mechanic's Stethoscope to isolate the noise while someone else is inside the car pumping the clutch pedal.
