Default 1994 Mazda 323 BG B6 Auto trans diaphragm.

I have a problem with my 1994 Mazda 323 BG. It has a B6 Carburatored motor. The line to the automatic transmission diaphragm has been cut and blocked off by the previous owners and was not spotted when I bought the car. This does not effect it's use and has no shifting problems. Where is this line Suposed to go and why would it have been cut and blocked off? Thanks!

I have seen the diaphragm split before & the vacuum sucks the ATF back into the intake manifold & thru the engine. ( blows alot of smoke)

Not having driven 1 with no vacuum I can't describe or compare any changes in shift quality or performance.

I'm having same fate here, it smokes alot confirming it sucks ATF back to intake. May I ask how to solve this problem?
