1/4 Mile times, TURBOCHARGED

RE: 1/4 Mile times, TURBOCHARGED
5.6-5.8 to 60mph is very realistic for a bone stock S3. However, I can't imagine anyone, that is into any form of racing, is going to leave it completely stock. I would like to see some comparison times (of the same car) before and after the CAI and exhaust upgrade. That will really tell the story, as to whether or not it is worth the $$

well almost all ive seen have ran around 14.6 for automatics, maybe, maybe a manual can hit a 13.8 stock, I seen one run 11's all others ran 14.**. so yea stock for stock you have a pretty good chance, wait till you start raising the boost! for me stangs are by far the most fun to pick on

dont forget they get more traction (RWD) from the line leads to that better 0-60 and 1/4 mile, from a roll I am sure the speed3 is pretty dangerous.... Trap speed may be a better indication of power/weight ratio once launch is taken out of the equation.
Anyone in the SS Chicago area want to run an SRT-4?

True. launch is the MS3's weakest point. By one magazine test I read (don't remember which) MS3 did the quarter in 14.4, the WRX in 14.3, but MS3's trap speed was 3MPH faster at 99.4MPH. Sticky tires would probably make a HUGE difference on an MS3.
