Hi-

Has anyone had a problem with the center A/C vent rattling after your car has been parked in the sun/heat for awhile? This started happening a few months ago, and I'm not sure what to do about it...its driving me crazy.

I took it to the dealer who told me they "could not verify the customer's concern" but they took it upon themselves to put about 5 pieces of WHITE tape inside my black vents. (I'll be taking it back today and demanding that it be taken out.)

 

I have never heard of the problem, but it iounds like a part inside the vent has come loose and when it heats up it expands, moving it just enough so that it hits another part of the vent. Mazda probably put the tape there so that they didn't have to replace the whole vent, saving them money.

 

Yeah...they could have at least used black, I probably wouldn't have noticed for awhile. I hate the dealer near my house, I'm going to have to find another to go to.
