Default Wrench Light Flashing

Hi All,

I have a 2015 Mazda Demio/2 Skyactiv-D 1.5 that was imported from Japan to New Zealand. For some reason the Wrench/Maintainance light keeps flashing. So far we have changed the Oil and reset the oil data and also disconnected the battery for 20 minutes however the Wrench Light keeps flashing.

I have read on another forum that it may be due to a maintenance alert where you are required to either drain or replace the Fuel Filter however the error needs to be cleared by an authorised Mazda Dealer? Would that be the case or if I went and changed the fuel filter would the wrench light stop flashing.

Keen to hear your experience/thoughts

Cheers

You need a scan tool to reset the oil data.

Have you scanned it for fault codes?

Flashing on a diesel usually indicated DPF issues.

Try this:
1) Car off, press start button once
2) Press and hold start button and trip meter(without starting the car) for several seconds, an orange triangle should start flashing, when triangle stops flashing let go

I just re-read post and realized you have a Diesel, in this case it's a Fuel sedimentor alarm and comes in every 20K or 30K kms, yep you need to visit dealer, drain fuel separator and reset data.

Has it been scanned for fault codes?
