Mazda 2 engine replacment
HI, I have a 2009 Mazda 2 sport and this question is more of a "is it possible" rather then wanting to acutally do it.
I was wondering whether it is possible to put a larger engine in my Mazda like they did on car throttle to Phil the MX5
Many thanks
Xander

Why not, most things are possible if you've got the money, time and know how. Many people will say it's not feasible because of certain factors but you can do what you want, it's your car.
Out of interest I was looking at if the Mazda 3 engines would fit into the engine bay, probably would fit the 2.0L 150HP engine in but as with any engine swap, there comes the mountain of issues to make it work in a car its not designed for, most engine swaps seem very difficult.
I would 100% give it a go if i had the time and money, it would be a great learning curve and very satisfying to see it finished and working.

I'm guessing one engine that could work with less complications is the engine from a Fiesta ST.
The cars are built off the same platform and therefore "should", although having no experience of this I don't know, be able to swap without any major modifications.
