Hi all, long time lurker but first post.

The alarm on my 2010 Mazda 2 keeps going off randomly. It's just the alarm, not the horn and alarm. It's gone off 3 times in the last hour and has been doing this for a couple months now.

Its a genuine mazda alarm and I've recently changed the battery after I left it for a month and the last one was dead beyond salvagability.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

 

Not sure if you are still having this problem, I have only just joined the forum.
We had the same issue with ours and the mechanic found the wires going to the boot lock had rubbed and were making false contacts and opening the boot at random intervals.
