Default how to check for skyactiv after 2011?

Hi,

I am considering in buying a Mazda Demio (Japan import right?). I've read that SkyActiv was first introduced specifically for the Mazda Demio after 2011.

Is this true? And how to check properly that one of these models do really have a SkyActiv engine? Of course I assume the model has to be after 2011 right?

Thanks

I wasn't aware of sky-active being in a Mazda 2/Demio prior to the 2015 model. But the Internet tells me otherwise, released late 2011. 1.3ltr running a CVT instead of a 5 speed manual or 4 speed Auto.

yeah the internet tells, but you know the internet tells a lot of things. But I wondered asking here, perhaps someone had one who can tell how to check properly it is skyactiv?

The engine will totally different to the normal 1.3 or 1.5 engine.

Should look like this ****

Old engine has the air filter housing on top of the engine.
