After car is warmed up my gear shift is becoming stiff to put into gear. It is fine when it is cold. The garage mechanic lubricated everything and couldn’t find anything wrong. But it is still the same, after warmed up it is hard to change gear, 3rd and fourth the worst. Anybody got any ideas what is wrong?

 

Change the gearbox oil. Try Castrol VMX 75w85 or VMX 80w

 

I have a Mazda 2 manual. I had to have a new clutch and it came back almost impossible to change gear. Had a new slave and master cylinder still the same. They bled it, so they say and now it reverts back when the weather is hot. Sometimes I have to turn the engine off and see the start it in first gear.
