Default Ccoolant for Mazda Demio

Hi there,

I have 2016 Mazda Demio 1.3 sky active. Does anyone know what coolant it uses? I believe its thr FL22 but not sure

Could I use distilated water to top up the coolant for now as its reaching the low mark?

Thanks in advance!!!

If you are just topping it off you can use bottled filter water. The coolant has more than enough protective formula to counter the small % of water to the total volume of the colling system.

I use a refractor meter to measure my coolant to water % and the Mazda original sealed bottled 50/50 is never exactly that.

I also never run 50/50 and adjust for either summer or winter operating temperatures. Summer the more important one using a slightly higher % of water to coolant.

As for coolant any coolant that either meets or exceeds FL22 or states can be used for your year Mazda.
If FL22 is the OEM for your Mazda then there are many top brand coolant suppliers that have for use in Mazda .
Top brands that will work equal or better then Mazda FL22
Caution you must check with the exact formula as there are a few available with each company.
Zerex
Peak
Prestone

This is were you should really do your research and verify the use information not go by members on a forum.
