Default Air bag warning light

Hi guys
The air bag warning light has come up on my dash. Its been there for a little while, I have tried plugging in my OBD reader but it doesn't come up with any warning codes.
Does anyone have any useful suggestions on what the problem could be?
My normal garage wont look at it and suggested I go to a Mazda garage but moneys a bit tight and I cant afford that before the MOT is up next month.
Thanks in advance.

Air Bag warnings should be addressed ASAP not "for a while" status in your vehcle. Your complete SRS system may not work properly or at all should you get into an accident. Air Bag light unless you are experienced and have some mechanical automotive training specifically with SRS system should be delt with by a service shops that does. This is for your safety mostly and that the problem is corrected properly and completely.
