Access to Injector Fuel Connection
Hello.
New member here.
I recently bought a 2008 Mazda 2 1.4 Diesel. I had one 8 years ago and had rose tinted glasses when I got this one.
After driving for a few miles I smelt a diesel smell after stopping. On investigation I found there is a leak on injector 1 where the fuel pipe attaches to the injector. I have managed to remove the air filter and associated pipes. I cannot work out how to easily remove the cowling around the injectors to gain access. With seemingly no workshop manual available I am asking for your kind assistance.
I have another issue where the gear lever seems to have no spring so that it is difficult to find the correct gear. It's a little disconcerting going from 5th and grinding reverse gears as there is no spring to push it over. do you know what might be going on and is it difficult to repair?
Thanks for looking.
