Well, if you have DJK2 or DJKB, you may have some luck.
Open http://www.mazda.co.jp/globalassets/...jkb_manual.pdf , scroll down to the 64th page of the .pdf (or 116th page by the manual's numeration) and try to follow the instructions on pictures 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Then select その他 and if you're lucky, you may see coveted "LANGUAGE".
Not everything will be translated, but at least something may. I don't think it's possible to obtain non-Japan navigation maps for this unit or non-Japanese voiceover, though.
Please, note, my knowledge of Japanese extends only to Google Translate.
I never saw the unit on Mazda 2 DJ nor have I ever sat in one.

I used Google Translate to work my way through the settings until I found "language" which I changed to English.
This has meant the entertainment centre is now very usable and user friendly and actually not too bad at all.
Except, for the navigation. The language changed to English but the maps are embedded and remain typical to Japanese locations.
I'm researching whether an SD Card upgrade will work so I'll report back when I've done that.
Our info screen is mounted up from the dash like an iPad sticking up and has an SD Card access Port on the side so I'm hopeful. I'll be discussing this with the local Mazda Dealership to see if they can help.

I have the same as well. It was in english when I got it so I didn't have to go through the procedure. Though I was wondering is it possible to upgrade this to MZD connect? Or even take it all out and put another one with MZD connect?

Hi guys, same here :-) Mazda Demio 1.3l 2015, sw version 3.0.0056.0300. I searched through several forums, looks like there is no European version for this system.
