Can someone tell me where the thermostat is in a 2004 Tribute? I have the Haynes repair manual but I dont see anything in my Mazda with the 3 bolts that shows in it. I think the one in the manual is 6 cyc while mine is a 4 cyc manual. Thanks for any help.

 

Also when you replace the thermostat. Do you have to replace the whole housing or can I just do the thermostat?

 

Thermostat comes as part of the plastic housing.
Location is behind power steering pump & in front of intake manifold.

Diagram shows the power steering pump already removed.
