What are these two things called?
Hey all, can anyone tell me what sensor this is and what are these two metal pipes? This piece has melted and what are these two pipes that are running under the EGR valve? I have them circled in red and a picture of the part. It was making this horrible screeching sound and receiving no power under load (my foot was all the way down on the gas and no power). We finally drove it around some more and I believe it can finally breathe, but hot air (exhaust air maybe) is coming out of these pipes. I believe this is a clogged catalytic converter, just not sure which of the ones are clogged (rear or front). A buddy of ours came over to look at it, but he couldn't figure out what that piece was called. He believes those pipes run to the one of the catalytic converters. Can someone verify this? Thanks :-)
